Winter means it’s time to ski!

Date November 26, 2007

I’m pretty sure my girl friend Jing will be in France again this winter for her annual ski vacation. I sure wish that I could ski but alas! I am not gifted with strong knees like my friend. During this time, more and more European, especially those from flat countries like Holland and Belgium travel to the next countries to enjoy skiing, winter’s favorite and most popular sport.

But I am more interested in going to ski areas just to enjoy the view. I love going up the slopes and just watch the pure white nature. I also enjoy it a lot when I also see people enjoying the mountains, some are expert skiers, some take serious body beating from constant falling, but hey, that’s how you learn to ski. I just don’t have the courage like them, otherwise I’d be in those slopes too.  I have seen many beautiful ski resorts like in Germany, Italy and Austria where I again would love to visit, but I think French ski region of Chamonix this time is worth the visit. I wish my husband can take some time off, maybe a week or two so that we can travel to this French side. Since I’ve heard from my friend about the beautiful mountains in the area,  Also that is becoming a popular ski regions due to developing property chamonix where beautiful chalets are for sale. Ha! how I would love to have such place to go to during the winter season.

Don’t you love those mountains? Such fantastic view! Now I am really really excited of the thought of going there this winter break.

I am an Asian married to a dutch gentleman, residing in Holland. There is no way that I’m a good cook, in fact I only started to cook few years back, in the year 1999 actually, when I gave my ‘ja’ word to the dutch gentleman on our wedding day *smile*. Now I enjoy spending time in my kitchen especially when there’s something new to try, new to experiment. here....
