shoarma and my own plate!

Date November 7, 2005

Haven’t been cooking lately because I’m on a diet :melodramatic
DIET which of course would never work for someone like me whose prime hobby is eating…yelp! One disadvantage of food blog hopping is that I am seeing and learning too much of too delicioso recipes that make me wanna try and cook them all..stop cooking people :hissyfit stop cooking I beg you! (psst, don’t talk to me about moderation in eating because I don’t know what that is :tongue)
Just want to share what I made for my dad-in-law last night and oh boy! he had two of these and salad on the side which pleased husband and me to no end since dad-in-law was in a bad shape, not eating properly anymore but until mid of last week when he received stronger medication for his cancer… we’re kinda monitoring his eating that it irritates him a bit because he said we’re treating him like a child, (hirap magpalaki ng magulang talaga oh he he)

I saw this ’shoarma’ mix at the local supermarket, which I thought was beef (no lamb for my husband please) but when I was about to cook it, it turned out to be pork [says a lot about me as a shopper huh?] I grabbed it and some shoarma patties. Also some fresh vegies which is dad-in-law’s favorite.

Pork Shoarma with turkish yoghurt/garlic sauce

it was good but…I want a real shoarma!!

btw, see my plate? (I know, I know that it’s hard to miss, still I must ask) whohoo! I found my own plate with my blog title on it, how cool is that!

what say you, childish?! take this! :raspberry

how’s your weekend?

hehehe. I don’t think about it now I just try to eat as sensible as possible. If I grow smaller so be it - a halleujah moment. :duck

    Tita Thess,

Sacrifice lang and it pays off later on! I am loosing some weight and I can even wear all my old clothes “exciting di ba” I work out in the morning and at the same time my after six diet sana maging consistent ako sa ginagawa ko, nakakaloka ano! Don’t worry looks doesn’t count but what matter is the inside of you! Cheers..

CELIAK: :wave..I also don’t know what diet is! :highfive

XTINE: ay, hindi kita matawag na ‘tita’ kasi mukhang bata ka sa akin he he…uy, that’s my goal too (well, for the last 6 years) to fit into my old clothes, but instead I keep on buying one size larger than the last time :hissyfit
i agree, inside counts the most..but (whispers to xtine’s ears) when one gets older, outside counts too ha ha ha
