Pancit Malabon, I want some!

Date November 6, 2008

When I planned my Philippines vacation last summer, I already had in mind which places to go to and food to eat. Yeah, that vacation was all about food, I’m not ashamed to admit. Filipinos like myself love to eat. Especially food that we miss abroad.

This is one of our local specialty that I am missing right now, Pancit malabon. My youngest sister bought me a huge portion of it one day that together with a nephew we enjoyed, huge plate wiped clean! I enjoyed it a lot since it has been at least a decade since I last tasted it. I just wish I can share with you the exact ingredients and method of cooking it, but I have never made it myself. I guess I like the commercial taste a lot better.

Oh how I wish I can get some now! Yummy!!

I am an Asian married to a dutch gentleman, residing in Holland. There is no way that I’m a good cook, in fact I only started to cook few years back, in the year 1999 actually, when I gave my ‘ja’ word to the dutch gentleman on our wedding day *smile*. Now I enjoy spending time in my kitchen especially when there’s something new to try, new to experiment. here....
