Pad Thai. This is what I want to eat right now!

Date August 3, 2008

I was browsing through my old Thailand vacation photos (from last year) when my eyes zoomed in on these photos. I took these one night when I invited my husband to eat at the night market. In the beginning it seemed like a bad idea for him, since it’s a market and the thought of unsanitary plates and utensils was the issue. But I assured him that there’s nothing wrong with their plates and utensils because I am a living proof. During my few years of living in that Thailand area and constant market visits (to eat of course) I never got sick from the food, not even once. And so that night my husband enjoyed a dinner that only cost us 200baht. We had soup with noodles and beef, braised pork on top of jasmine rice, chicken sate, and of course my most favorite, pad thai.

here she was preparing my ordered pad thai

in the background you see strangers sharing tables to dine.

ah, how I miss this place! and the food!!

I’ll be there come September to enjoy your food once again!

OONSKY AND KIRK: Hello to you both! I’m in Manila right now and unfortunately I’m sitting right now in internet cafe
Thanks for dropping by..I hope to blog about my (food) vacation

OONSKY: oh yeah, I love spicy food, particularly Thai! But of course those hawker stalls in Singapore are to die for too. I lived there for a year and a half and we’d eat 2-4 times a week in hawker stalls, because like you said, food is cheap and such a variety!
KIRK, I’ll be in Thailand beginning of September and I shall eat extra Pad Thai for you

i’m so glad many people are enjoying Asian foods, it’s funny but I think many Non-Asian people thinks that eating Asian foods is like a wildlife adventure, but after tasting? they are coming back for more!
