Organically farmed meat

Date August 3, 2008

I had a conversation with a friend who battled and won cancer. Praise the good Lord for that. In the past when subject about cancer rose, or heard someone died because of that- it seemed so unreal and naively thought that dying from it only happens in movies. My naive look towards it changed when people I know, both distant and not died from it. So talking to a cancer survivor is always interesting as well as educative. I do learn about the disease and other stuff. What my survivor friend shared with me is how she changed her lifestyle and begun living healthier, more appreciative of life by respecting her body. By eating only organic food such as fruits, vegetables, meat and even wine to drink, she shifted to organic harvested. I think I should really listen to her and make some adjustment to, as what I prepare at home.
One important thing that I was told, was that shifting to organic food does not mean less taste from it but rather it means eating healthier is the prime benefit. I asked about meat. She’s answered that certainly, animals that are grown in an environment free from artificial agro-chemicals is much better and healthier for human consumption! Well she’s right.
Her shared thoughts kind of made impact on how I look at what I buy. Even websites like foxfirefarms.com truly awakens my curiosity. Their grass fed animals sound just perfect if you like to eat meat. Their up and becoming popular meat is theirGoat Farms. Come to think of it, not everyone eat goat and those who do really can tell the difference between a grass fed and not. Anyway, I just thought of mentioning my find to you here as you might be interested too to order your organic farmed meat. And before I finish, don’t forget to check out their free recipe page.

Let’s eat and live healthier.

There is no way that I’m a good cook, in fact I only started to cook few years back, in the year 1999 actually, when I gave my ‘ja’ word to the dutch gentleman on our wedding day *smile*. Now I enjoy spending time in my kitchen especially when there’s something new to try, new to experiment. here....
