Noodles in springrolls

Date July 23, 2008

From my stock photos, I found these two photos. Lumpia (fried springrolls) which in the beginning I found a bit strange when I first had the chance of eating this kind, few years back. Because the filling was with noodles. I was used to springroll preparation with fish, chicken or  pork - all mixed with vegetables, sauteed. But never with noodles.

Until I saw them being served in local Chinese and Indonesian restaurants here. I realized that noodles (I prefer using glass noodles) is a good filling for it too, thus it became a favorite (filling) when I make a quick spring roll fix.

Ms. Thesse, ganyan din ang spring rolls dito sa Cambodia, may vermicelli noodle. The dip is sweet-and-sour with plenty of ground peanuts.
