Moo Ga Tah (bday food last part )

I love sizzling plates! Normally, this dish is best served sizzling on a metal plate. But if you’re like me who’s without it, just serve it straight from the pan, it’ll taste just the same, lekker![good] (ah, don’t mind me, I’m just ‘loving my own:-) )
This was the third dish that I’ve made for hubby on his bday dinner. I have used no-fat pork fillet…fat is optional, I think it’s best to throw in some to get that glacey effect (notice that my dish was kinda ‘flat’) if you’ll serve it to visitors. Another simple yet tasty dish.

Ingredients
300 g pork fillet, sliced in bite size
1 heap tsp sugar
2-3 stalks, chopped spring onion (do not inlude the dark green part)
a bit of cooking oil
4 chopped garlic cloves
3 tbsp light soya sauce, thai brand
3 tbsp oyster sauce
3-4tbsp water
1 - 2 tbsp dark soya sauce
20g toasted sesame seeds

-
fry the garlic in medium hot pan /wok with oil until it turns slightly brown, throw in the pork and fry until it turns slightly brown or time of cooking depends on pork part that you’ll use. Add all the liquid ingredients, continue tossing and when it’s about done, add half of the spring onion until pork is cooked. Before serving, top it with the remaining green and sesame seeds.

eet smakelijk!

” TALES OF KITCHEN NOVICE ” Eet Smakelijk (dutch) means enjoy your meal, that’s what we usually say around the table before starting any meal. I am an Asian married to a dutch gentleman, residing in Holland. There is no way that I’m a good cook, in fact I only started to cook few years back, in the year 1999 actually, when I gave my ‘ja’ word to the dutch gentleman on our wedding day *smile*. Now I enjoy spending time in my kitchen especially when there’s something new to try, new to experiment. here....
