Chicken fillet with fruits

Date October 14, 2006

I wanted a quick fix for a stomach that needed it (mine.) All I had at that time was a bunch of fruits, onion and tomato. I also had about 300 grams of chicken breast fillet.

Then I remembered something I’ve eaten, probably 6 years ago.. at a restaurant in Rotterdam husband and I visited. I clearly remembered eating chicken cuts with fruits in tomato sauce, I liked it. But it was also a bad meal since after we left the restaurant and gone home, I vomited and had a severe stomach ache the entire night. Food poisoned. From the chicken.

Anyway, I was in no mood to just eat the fruits bacaUse I also wanted to eat rice. So I sliced them (see photo), sliced the fillet, took out my Heinz tomato ketchup, some sweet thai chilli sauce, 1 tbsp light soya sauce, 2 tbsp of olive oil in a medium heated pan, some pepper and salt to taste. Don’t forget to throw the fruits in at the last minute of cooking so they wont turn out soggy.

and I was surprised that my husband who doesn’t like fruits, ate with me. He asked if I used butter because he could taste it. I said there’s absolutely no butter in my chicken. Surprisingly, the taste was ‘buttery.’

And this time, I wasn’t food poisoned. :yum:
