The moment I saw this slice of squash at a local Asian store last week, an idea, a simple idea of cooking it quickly came to mind, so full of excitement I bought it. Yeah, excited because it isn't every day that you can find such beautiful squash in the smack of winter here in Holland!
I also bought a thin bundle of string beans (sitao in tagalog) and a piece of aubergine (talong in tagalog) to complete the main ingredients of my simple recipe. And this (see under image) was the outcome.

Ever seen country singer Cheryl Crow with her baby infant? Or No Doubt's Gwen Stefani with her baby on her body? Yep, big stars use them too for their babies. I rather like looking at their photos where they seem proud to have their babies in baby slings, carrying them around, showing them to all their fans.
If you are like those Hollywood stars who aren't satisfied with pushing their babies around in buggies, try some wonderfully designed baby slings! But I'm sure there many reasons why mother

Note: I have posted this recipe in the past. This post has more to do with new photo of the meal that I've taken. I have been experimenting with food photography so you will see more meals from the archive.

Husband: Knoflook rijst (Garlic Rice)

I found this Food tag over at Meeya's blog recently and I thought I'd do it too. Just wanna have fun answering any question related to food. So here goes!

I know that you can't distinguish the slices of pork from the slices of pumpkin but they are both there *lol* I have to admit that I made the sauce too thick - see that oil? most of it was from the coconut milk. This simple recipe was found from one of my Thai cookbooks. Handy whenever I couldn't come up of something for dinner.
What you need:
1 tbsp oil
1-2 tbsp red curry paste (commercial)
500g lean pork but into bite size
1 cup coconut milk
1/2 cup water
350g butternut squash,

Once I saw this recipe in Jamie Oliver's "COOK" (book) I immediately asked my husband if he'd like to have it for dinner, since he is a schnitzel fan. I remember each time we'd travel to Austria, my husband would not stop talking about many different restaurants in Austria he's been to or where he's eaten their schnitzel specialties. I learned to eat schnitzel because of my husband.
Anyway to make a long story short, I did not follow Jamie's recipe (page 182) because this meal was prepared in

I received an email from someone who frequents my food blog (but wants to remain anonymous) requesting for "BICOL EXPRESS" RECIPE. Since I have never prepared this, I ask a friend who hails from the province of Bicol (Philippines) to kindly share me his recipe, thanks to his good heart, here is his version of Bicol Express.
To the one who requested for this, I hope you like this. The following is my friends writing.
Philippine cuisine is always famous around the world. Since Filipinos are all
