Restaurant de Hoff'nar
Tonight, for the 3rd time (in a span of 2 months), my husband and I will be visiting this restaurant again! Why? because we became fans of this restaurant found in our city and about 20 minutes walk from our house. Yes, 20 minutes! It took us almost 10 years just to find a restaurant in our city that caters to our demand: good food. And finally we found it!
Last month my husband was browsing the internet for a restaurant. And he landed on this restaurant’s website, and I’m glad he did! It’s the Restaurant de Hoff’nar. Located in a privately owned land opposite a castle, yes a castle. I’ve included the link, simply click it for you to see the ground, it’s in Dutch though so I might as well post new photos after tonight’s visit , so until then …but for now let me talk about the restaurant.
These stickers will greet you before entering the place. Just outside of its window. It says it’s recommended by Michelin Guide. Ah for those of you do not have an idea what Michelin Guide (or tar) is, only the best of the best restaurants and hotels are awarded this star! Here’s the wikipedia link of Michelin Guide. Anyhow, this restaurant does not have a star (yet, I hope in the future they get what’s due them!) but to be recommended by MG, well there must be something there, right?
I tell you, there is something to be excited about when dining here. Just like on our first visit, we weren’t presented with a menu but instead the lovely hostess ‘walked us through’ the chef’s offers. What I’ve included here are the set we had on our 2nd visit. The chef was kind enough to write down for me his menu, harstikke bedankt, chef!

verdict: The whole experience was a 9! That’s why I couldn’t wait for tonight and I don’t care about the calories
