Chicharong Manok

This is Chicharong Manok or crunchy chicken skin Instead of potato chips, I love munching on this! Luckily I can only buy this in Thailand otherwise I'll be having high blood pressure now *lol* Anyway, this to be honest is way too nice. A pack costs 20baht (Euro 0.50) at Thailand night markets or sometimes even on streets in the afternoon you can find women selling this. I assure you, once you pop you can never stop!

Break from food

I thought of taking a short break from posting about food, just this moment. As I was chatting earlier with my lean cousin who's in her early 20's, I couldn't help butt be amazed because she's the biggest eater I know around and yet she's able to maintain not just a lovely figure but also a healthy appetite? How can that be??!! Her answer to me was: 'discipline and her dream'. Discipline I can understand as she really exercises regularly, keeping herself fit. But dream? Well, it turns out that s

' You can see bits and pieces of the fillings and that's not really an attractive presentation' she added. Ah, I don't care if fillings are showing or not, all I know is that I miss its taste! Now I hope she sends me her recipe because I tell you, this soft puto are to die for!

Spooky halloween cupcakes!

I was chatting earlier with my elder sister whose got 4 children. 2 boys and 2 girls. 3 of them are already in their teen years but the youngest is 10 years old and being the baby in the family, what she wants she gets! So what does she want? A halloween party with her friends, which her mom should host! I had to laugh, because really...why would a kid of 10 ask for such thing? Peer pressure. Because last year she says, her bestfriend' s mom hosted a kids Halloween party which she thought was so

Time for soup!

I can feel the winter coming already! It's mid September and yet, the temperature is dropping down steadily. Can you imagine the shock my body got last week when coming back from tropical Thailand, 10C-15C greeted me that morning when we stepped out of the plane? *Brrrrr* I want some soup right now. Not just any soup but a clear clam soup! I had the chance of tasting a very simple prepared clam soup in The Philippines that was refreshing, sweet taste coming from the fresh catch itself. Lovely!
